The use of generative artificial intelligence (AI) in scientific articles is discouraged. If authors use generative AI and AI-assisted technologies in the writing process to improve readability and language, they should disclose the use of AI-technologies in the manuscript as in the example:
Use of AI tools declaration
All authors declare that they have not used Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools for the creation of this article.
The authors are ultimately responsible for the contents of the work, for its integrity, reliability and robustness of the data and conclusions. AI should be applied with human control and all work should be reviewed and edited carefully.
Authors should not list generative AI and AI-assisted technologies as an author or co-author, nor cite AI as an author. Authorship implies responsibilities and tasks that can only be attributed to and performed by humans. AI technologies do not correspond to ICMJE authorship criteria.
The use of AI-assisted technologies in Results section or other sections presenting the main results of the research is not allowed.
Non-compliance with these policies will be considered as a publication ethics violation.
